Riverside House is situated close to the town of Newnham on Severn in Gloucestershire. The home is registered to provide care for 12 adults with a Learning Disability. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and have an overall rating of ‘Good’.

Our Facilities

There is a clear focus on maximising independence at Riverside House. This is reflected by the minimal staffing presence and expectations placed on the people who live there to take part in daily house hold skills such as cleaning, meal planning, shopping and cooking. Each person who lives there also has an individualised timetable which they create with the staff to maximise their existing and potential skills. The timetable will involve a mixture of in house activities with our instructors, as well as community based activities such as college courses, voluntary jobs and gardening projects.

The local area boasts the Forest of Dean, beautiful countryside, and excellent transport links to the towns of Lydney and Cinderford, as well as to the City of Gloucester which can be easily accessed to visit and utilise.
