Stepping Stones are looking to recruit an exceptional Nurse Deputy manager for our home in Redmarley.

As Deputy Manager you’ll use your leadership skills to make sure our residents get the quality care we’re known for. We’ll look to you to be a hands-on leader that creates a safe and supportive environment for our residents who may have a range of both complex and challenging needs. The homes support adults with Mental Health concerns and Learning Disabilities.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all nursing shifts are covered which may entail you covering for colleagues’ absence on occasion.

You’ll be responsible for completion of a range of quality audits and you’ll support and mentor your team to make sure they have the training they need to deliver the highest standards of care to our residents.

ABOUT YOU

To join us as a Deputy Manager you’ll need significant experience working with complex people and be RMN qualified.

You’ll have supervisory experience in a care home, including producing care plans and detailed risk assessments, as well as strong staff management skills and a knowledge and understanding of Human Resources.

We’ll also look for an understanding of regulatory frameworks for Health and Safety. The ideal candidate will be IOSH trained or will to be trained in this discipline.

You’ll be a natural leader and problem solver who has worked in the industry at all levels, and a mentor, including supporting newly appointed staff. You’ll be dedicated, ambitious and resilient, you’ll have a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.
